Stopped by our Rugby sponsor, Nolan's Irish Pub. Delish! I had the Pot Roast, and Bill had the Bangers and Mash.

Restaurant Rebirth [Lower Garden District, New Orleans, LA]
Took a tip from an Uber driver. Found a great restaurant! And, he sent a bottle of champagne for after dinner. Nice guy!
We shared the Oyster Pasta, a third of the Seafood Platter, and some kind of Pork Belly appetizers. I had the Lamb Chops, which was delicious! Shawn had the Chicken Rochambeau. Rosendo had a Stuffed Soft Shell Crab. The food was delicious!

Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse [Central Business District, New Orleans, LA]
Or Teakhouse as we like to call it. Fabulous dinner! Shawn, Rosendo, and I went there for dinner, it was so good! And the service was great! I had the 12 oz Prime Rib, Rosendo had a nice Ribeye steak, and Shawn had something else with a side of Lobster Mac and Cheese.
The picture of the three of us was a nice touch.

Acme Oyster House [Covington, LA]
Shawn and I drove across the longest bridge for oysters! :) We went to Acme Oyster House in Covington, LA. It was nice. Not the best, but definitely not the worst.
We had the chargrilled oysters. They were pretty good, but I still like Drago's in Metairie the best. We also had crab claws to for an appetizer. And we had the stuffed crab. Good, but completely fried.
Shawn had the Shrimp Poboy sandwich. She said it was pretty good. I had some kind of shrimp. Tasty, but not spectacular.

Emeril's Delmonico [Central City, New Orleans, LA]
Emeril's Delmonico for my birthday with Shawn G. She made it special with a little birthday surprise! We both had the Ribeye (of course), and she also had the Oysters St Malo. It was absolutely fantastic!

Marcello's Restaurant and Wine Bar [Metairie, New Orleans, LA]
Went to Marcello's again, love it! Shawn G came with me. We had the Crabmeat Contessa as a starter, nice! I had the Linguine Tritone, delicious! And Shawn had the [something] Ravioli, she said it was great. For dessert we had a dulce de leche with amaretto poured over it and whipped cream. Very nice. This is one of my favorite restaurants!

Chophouse New Orleans [Central Business District, New Orleans, LA]
Went to the Chophouse New Orleans with Rosendo. We both ordered the 8 oz. Center Cut Ribeye. I had a side of asparagus with a side of hollandaise sauce while Rosendo had a fully loaded baked potato. The steak was cooked Pittsburgh style, charred on the outside with a warm red/pink center.
I also had the Franciscan Cabernet Sauvignon, delicious. It was a very nice, quiet restaurant with a lot of class. And the waiter was great, attention to detail was impeccable.

Shaya [Touro, New Orleans, LA]
Rosendo, Shawn, and I went to Shaya for dinner. WOW! Unbelievably excellent.
We were seated in the courtyard at the furthest table possible. It had high, whitewashed walls, and it was sort of maze-like. Sort of like if we were over in Israel.
First up was an Israeli Cabernet Sauvignon, very nice. Then as an appetizer, we had the Lamb Ragu. This was so good, that I could have just eaten this one thing. It came with a fresh-out-of-the-oven baked Pita Bread that was so light and fluffy. I can't emphasize how outstanding this was!
The next course was the For the Table dishes. I had the Brussels Sprouts, wonderful! Shawn and Rosendo had the Israeli salad, also wonderful. They also brought out a olive oil and spices dipping sauce for the Pita Bread. Shawn had the Lamb Kabobs as a small plate which everyone shared. It was more like a minced lamb sausage than a kabob, but it was good. Rosendo also got the Falafel, also good.
And finally, we had the Slow Cooked Lamb. It was a nice sized shank, and oh so good! Rosendo also ordered a side of Persian Rice. It was crispy and nice with baked cherries on top.

Jacques-Imo’s Cafe [Leonidas, New Orleans, LA]
Waited over an hour to get into this restaurant. Went to the bar to get drinks, and were basically ignored by the bartenders. But, finally got some and wandered around before dinner. Nice area!
When we were seated, we were right next to the kitchen. The place was busy, busy, busy, and our waiter was definitely hustling. We had a cornbread appetizer, pretty tasty. Then Shawn got the Shrimp And Alligator Sausage Cheesecake as an appetizer, and I got the Crabmeat Stuffed Shrimp. Also pretty tasty.
For entrees, I got a Bacon Stuffed Quail, and Shawn got the Grouper with Crabmeat. My quail was delicious, but Shawn's grouper was not fully cooked. She sent it back for some more cooking time. They brought her out a new one, but it was not the Grouper. It was the Red Fish camouflaged to look like the grouper covered in crabmeat. She complained, but asked that they take it off the tab as she didn't want anything else.
They brought us a nice plate of various desserts on the house. I'm giving it a 2 out of 4 for the bartenders, the raw fish, the subterfuge, and the busy, hurried staff.
