Shawn and I went to the Bourbon House for dinner. This is one of the four Dickie Brennan's restaurants, and the final one for me to visit. We had the Chargrilled Oysters as an appetizer. Tasty, but not the best I've had. Then we both had the Grilled Shrimp Scampi. This was also good, but it only had 5 shrimp. What!?
Since it was the Bourbon House, they had a Bourbon Club. We joined, it was free. Had a complementary pour of a Wild Turkey 10yr bourbon. Nice, but potent! The food was good, but I have to say the service was lacking. The hostess didn't acknowledge us when we came in, then tried to seat us in the bar area. I thought maybe the dining room was full, but no. There was plenty of room. The only bright spot was James, the beverage boy. Our waiter was nice, but not attentive at all.
